It felt like I had climbed into the way back machine. No there were no flashing lights and clocks spinning backwards, that would have been cool. Instead it was the following web page that came up when trying to check the balance on a gift card.
Come on people if you can check your credit card balance, bank accounts and any number of financial information with a modern browser, you should be able to check the balance on a simple gift card. More and more people are moving to other browsers and blocking them out is just bad for business. Besides IE dosen’t exist for the Mac anymore.

To see the site in Safari, you have to spoof like you’re IE, then view source to find the contact email, the link doesn’t work.
From what I can tell, it’s cashlynk@cashlynk.com.
…wow
Talk about a first impression. Might as well be a funeral.
Wow… that’s just stupid.
Just came across your site, never seen it before but I can relate to this experience. Nothing is more annoying than when you’re just browsing around and you get an error message saying you have to have IE. I never use IE except for testing (and of course when I have to, like the above mentioned situation). Sometimes I can fake IE with IE Tab, but that doesn’t always work either.
Just venting my frustration…grrrrrr
thats a bit of a silly idea
hehe, i was thinking, what really would be funny is that if you check the site on IE and still find that page :) so i visited the site on IE, and the message is shown at the bottom of the page, with the icon that says GET IE! how arrogant! this is an example of a molded uncustomized website that would work fine in 1995.
@Noah: Thanks for the heads up. We are in the middle of building our new site and have tabled work on this one.
yeh thats put me off first inpressions last
