It’s been another crazy week here at Blue Flavor headquarters! We celebrated our 2nd year in business. and had a wonderful visit from our favorite New Yorker which is always a special treat. Still, the world kept turning despite our revels.

To begin with, the folks over at A List Apart have tallied the results from their 2007 Survey of Web professionals. Very interesting reading there and we thank them for stepping up to do that.

On the tails of the ALA Survey there is already some interesting observations.

The always opinionated Andy Rutledge debuted his brand spankin’ new podcast. This should be interesting to say the least.

It’s a bit of a rant, but Shae Allen wrote a funny post about If Architects Had To Work Like Web Designers. It’s funny because there’s so much truth in it.

The business rubric on an actual sign to remind all of us of the challenges of working in a design agency.

Apple made a big announcement with the pending release of an SDK for the iPhone and iPod Touch. As always, John Gruber has written a thorough article about the announcement.

An interesting article on the mobile generation gap. I think this is a very telling problem with mobile today. There is just too much focus on extended other mediums rather than defining how mobile can improve our lives.

Some interesting thoughts on community-based knowledge sharing and learning. I think there is still a lot of fear here in the corporate world, but as more schools encourage it the more common it will become in business.

ValleyWag asks: What to use instead of Evite.

It looks like the recent Symbian Smartphone show saw some encouraging signs pointing to increasing the user experience capabilities in S60 devices.

Meanwhile the Nokia CEO said he is “paranoid” about the Apple’s entry in the mobile market and that the significance of the iPhone should not be ignored.

The mobile advertising titan AdMob has released some mobile metrics A lot of great data in there, and free!

If it’s Broken, Don’t Unbroken it

The other Garrett has a great post on creating visual languages.

Here are some good New Rules of Internet Marketing to ponder.

If you are giving a presentation soon you should probably start here. I ordered mine.

MySpace announced it would follow Facebooks lead and open up the platform to external developers.

Last, but not least, 30 Days of Night, based on the awesome Ben Templesmith and Steve Niles graphic novel starts tonight! Who wants to go get the crap scared out of them??

Plus don’t forget to register for some upcoming events we will be speaking at:
