It’s hard to believe that the 2010 SXSWi panel picker for the is already up. It seems like just yesterday we were drinking at the Gingerman. Nick and myself have each proposed a panel and now it’s up to you.
The Ten Commandments of User Experience
50 word version: User experience is the result of your interactions with a product or service, specifically how it’s delivered and its related artifacts according to the design. In this presentation we will explain how following the ten commandments can boost your project’s ease of use, appeal, conversion rates, and more. Longer version: User experiences are your everyday experiences—anything from operating a car, to making a pot of coffee, to ordering a pair of shoes online. User experience is the result of your interactions with a product or service, specifically how it’s delivered and its related artifacts according to the design. In this presentation Nick Finck and Raina Van Cleave will explore the ten characteristics of a great user experience. They will cover all aspects of user experience design such as user research, information architecture, information design, technical writing, interaction design, visual design, brand identity design, accessibly, usability and web analytics. Nick and Raina will also explain how following the ten commandments can boost your web sites, web app, or mobile app’s ease of use, appeal, conversion rates, and more.
Designing for the Mobile Web, Now
The launch of Appleās iPhone in the summer of 2007 has prompted designers to re-think the way we design and distribute content for the emerging mobile marketplace. This panel will explore the opportunities and challenges of mobile design from mobile web to mobile apps by providing you with a solid understanding of the best practices to meet the demands of mobile-savvy users.

Truly, it’s very challenging to market mobile designs, especially if you know that there’s a high competition in the market. Great design will surely meet the demands of mobile-savy users.
I’d already voted for Nick’s, but just saw yours Kevin. That looks great!
I have voted to him. This is an awesome post. Thank you
Technological industry is the most competitive industry we have since then. There are so many challenging when it comes to penetrating the global market. Anyway, don’t worry, I’ll be voting for Blue Flavor. Goodluck!

Interesting topics…
Challenges are always there in any industry. Hopefully, Blue Flavor will definitely survive in this increasing competition with their talented people.
Is there any open source mobile phone friendly software being developed out there at the moment?
Very nice read, thanks a lot.
The trend seems to point to the mobile industry. There are huge opportunities in this industry even larger in scale than the computer industry. It is but proper for developer to refocus where big profit potential is lurking in the corner.
Great read, thanks very much.
